Bioadsorption of lead(II) over the pulp of Acrocomia aculeata

The adsorption of lead in aqueous solution onto Acrocomia aculeata pulp was examined. characterized the presence and absence using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), thermogravimetric analysis (TG-DTA), scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Sulfur oxygen bonds were responsible for adsorbing surface. TG-DTA profile proved that adding sodium azide increases pulp�s thermal stability until 200 �C. Adsorption data batch column systems analyzed to understand compared other biomaterials. In experiments, removal efficiency reached a maximum 91.9% when 50 ppm placed contact with 30 min fit Freundlich isotherm behavior. theoretical capacity found be 11.97 mg g�1; more is needed compare results studies.
